About the Role
We are looking for a sharp and well-rounded Litigation Counsel to strengthen our in-house legal team. The ideal candidate should have strong dispute resolution expertise gained at a top-tier law firm and should possess excellent advocacy, analytical, and communication skills. This role requires managing high-stakes matters, strategizing on litigation, and coordinating with external counsel while safeguarding the company's interests.

Qualification:
LL.B./LL.M. from a premier law school (NLUs or other top-tier institutions)

Key Responsibilities

  • Representing and managing the company's interests in litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters.
  • Drafting pleadings, applications, responses, legal notices, and other court-related documents.
  • Coordinating with external counsel, briefing senior advocates, and monitoring case progress.
  • Conducting legal research and preparing detailed case notes, opinions, and litigation strategies.
  • Advising internal stakeholders on litigation risks, implications, and legal remedies.
  • Handling pre-litigation advisory, dispute management, and settlement negotiations.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, court procedures, and internal policies.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Law degree from a top-tier law school (NLUs or equivalent).
  • 3–7 years of post-qualification experience in litigation/dispute resolution at a leading law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of civil, commercial, regulatory, and arbitration matters.
  • Excellent drafting, research, and advocacy skills.
  • Impeccable communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High levels of integrity, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
  • Based in Mumbai and open to an in-office role.
