Position Overview

Reporting to: Finance Manager .

Location: The Leela Palace Corporate Office - Mumbai

The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing the financial operations of The Leela Hotels' exclusive luxury membership club, ensuring seamless financial transactions, accurate reporting, and compliance with financial policies. This role requires a strong understanding of membership revenue management, billing, reconciliation, and financial analysis to support the club's high-end clientele.

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee the financial operations of the luxury membership club, including revenue tracking, invoicing, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing of membership fees, renewals, and other club-related charges.
  • Maintain financial records and generate reports on revenue, expenses, and outstanding payments.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements specific to the membership club.
  • Responsible for daily accounting and operations of the projects and ensuring accurate and timely completion of accounting process, vendor payments and reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective management of financial transactions.
  • To assist the Finance Manager in MIS reporting preparation.
  • To Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Implement internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards.
  • To carry out the duties & responsibilities of the Finance Manager during his absence.

Membership Revenue & Billing:

  • Handle membership payments, refunds, and adjustments in coordination with the sales and membership teams.
  • Monitor and track outstanding dues, ensuring timely follow-ups for collections.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to ensure seamless integration of membership revenue with hotel financial systems.

Compliance & Auditing:

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all financial transactions and assist in internal and external audits.
  • Implement and monitor financial controls to prevent revenue leakages.

Financial Analysis & Budgeting:

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting membership revenue, expenses, and financial performance.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for cost optimization.
  • Support management in strategic financial planning for the membership club.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with membership, sales, and marketing teams to support financial aspects of member onboarding and renewals.
  • Liaise with banks and payment gateways for seamless transaction processing.
  • Address financial queries from members and internal stakeholders professionally and efficiently.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field. A CA/ICWA Inter or MBA (Finance) is preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in finance roles, preferably in hospitality, luxury services, or membership-based businesses.
  • Experience handling revenue reconciliation, billing, and financial reporting.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in accounting, invoicing, and reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (SAP, Opera, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with HNI members and internal teams.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
