Job Title: Investment Banking Associate (M&A)Location: Bangalore - Work from OfficeDepartment: Investment BankingReports To: PartnerAbout Client:A venture capital–backed advisory platform that provides end-to-end investment banking support—spanning valuations, M&A, fundraising, and strategic execution—to help high-growth companies scale and unlock long-term value.Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Modeling & Valuation :o Create detailed financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF),precedent transaction, and comparable company analysis.o Perform business valuation using multiple methodologies (e.g., DCF, marketcomps, precedent transactions).o Analyze financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and cashflow statements.2. Transaction Execution :o Support the execution of mergers, acquisitions, debt and equity financings,and restructuring transactions.o Coordinate and manage deal processes, including preparing pitch books, dealpresentations, and client communications.o Conduct due diligence by working with legal, accounting, and other advisors.o Assist in drafting transaction documents such as term sheets, offeringmemoranda, and client presentations.3. Market & Industry Research:o Stay up-to-date on market trends, industry developments, and competitoractivities.o Provide insights and research on potential investment opportunities ormarket dynamics.o Analyze market data and compile industry reports to support clientstrategies.4. Administrative & Reporting:o Assist in the preparation of pitch decks, proposals, and other client-facingdocuments.o Monitor and report on transaction progress and financial performance.Qualifications & Skills:Education:o CA or MBA from a reputed B SchoolExperience:o 2-3 years of experience in investment banking or a related field.o Experience in M&A, debt/equity capital markets, or other advisory services ishighly preferred.Technical Skills:o Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis (Excel).o Expertise in financial statement analysis, accounting, and valuationtechniques.o Excellent skills in PowerPoint for presentations and report creation.Soft Skills:o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.o Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
