Job Title : Guidewire Policy Center - QA Engineer II

4+ years in software testing with experience in testing web and API platforms.

Location : Remote , India

Start Date : Immediate


Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Contribute to test planning, design, and execution.

- Participate in requirements gathering and analysis.

- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

- Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance tests.

- Track and document defects using a defect tracking system (Jira).

- Analyze test results and generate comprehensive test reports.

- Perform manual functional testing on the Guidewire Insurance Suite, with a focus on PolicyCenter.

- Gain a deep understanding of PolicyCenter functionalities and configurations.

- Test policy creation, underwriting, rating, and other core PolicyCenter processes.

- Develop and execute manual end-to-end test cases, utilizing existing automation frameworks.

- Collaborate with the automation team to enhance and maintain existing test automation scripts.

- Collaborate effectively with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders.

- Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to the team.

- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and other agile ceremonies.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Proactively identify and mitigate potential quality risks.

- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications :

- 4+ years of experience in software testing with experience in testing web and API platforms.

- Strong understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter and its core functionalities.

- Experience with SQL and databases.

- Familiarity with web services (REST/SOAP).

- Basic understanding of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript).

- Strong understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.

- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), STLC, and agile practices.

- Experience with various testing types (functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance).

- Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Detail-oriented and results-driven.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber).

- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

- Insurance domain knowledge.

- Relevant certifications (ISTQB)
