We are committed to our clients’ long-term success and combine global reach with local client attention to serve them in over 50 countries around the globe.Job Title: Data Migration Specialist (Data Engineer)Location: BangaloreExperience: 5+ yrsJob Type : Contract to hireNotice Period:- Immediate joinerMandatory Skills· Hands-on experience with Data Migration Specialist (Data Engineer).- Work with subject matter experts and team members to identify, define, collate, document and communicate the data migration requirements- Create mechanism to extract , cleanse , transform , enrich , load and validate data- Analyse data structures , map data fields , validate data integrity - Work closely with solution architect to define target data model- Strong experience in data migration, specifically in moving data from Legacy to cloud- Create working procedure to facilitate the movement of data to the destination storage, ensuring proper handling and processing.- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the data throughout the migration process.- Validate that the processed data meets business requirements and is fit for purpose.- Experience with Software Development tools eg Toad, Golden, SQL Loader, T-SQL, and/or Import/Export tools;- Migration of BLOB and Metadata – perform checksums , ensure data integrity- Experience in independently work on creating migration strategy and scripts with limited documentation and guidance by exploring existing environment and data structures- Must have experience with the following: Procedural SQL ( eg PL/SQL , Postgres SQL ) , various data loaded eg SQL Loader along with proficiency in document DB , BLOB and associated products such as Dynamo DB , S3 etc- Provide guidance, assistance, coordination and follow up on client questions, problems or malfunctions of feed related systems applications;- Excellent communication and organisational skills, including a wide range of architectures and technologies;ResponsibilitiesWriting clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainablecode Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards Support test and deployment of new products andfeatures Participate in code reviews.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
