Position Summary

The Clinicals Team 

At athenahealth, we think healthcare providers deserve technology that lets them focus on what really matters: patient care. So we created it. Designed with input from our providers, our new, streamlined electronic health record (EHR) helps you document faster, easily meet quality program requirements, and removes distractions that get in the way of care.

Our athenaClinicals team builds code that matters, working on the beating heart of doctors’ workflows that is used by over 100,000 healthcare providers daily. We build the interface that makes the interactions between these providers and the electronic health record as seamless as possible, and elevates what the doctor needs to see, when they need to see it. This team is innovative, passionate, and driven by our mission to help make an impact.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement user-friendly, intuitive, and accessible reporting and analytics experiences using modern front-end tooling.

Collaborate with Design experts to develop and execute org-wide analytics design standards.

Collaborate inclusively with cross-functional team members to develop product solutions and promote productivity and effectiveness.

Mentor and advise engineer team members; take ownership of what the team builds and coordinate efforts to ensure proper completion.

Develop knowledge to act as a domain expert; share business and technical insights with the broader engineering and product organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

Ideally, 14+ years of software engineering experience with product development expertise

Extensive full stack application development experience with ETL, DB Modelling, Scalable API Service,Micro Frontend

Proficient with the Java Spring, Typescript and React framework

Extensive experience in AWS cloud (ECS,EKS,MSK,DynamoDB, RDS)

Experience in leading teams/technical projects including technical design, scoping and estimation.

Experience with deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins along with git, bitbucket and other source code repositories preferred.

Familiarity with healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g. HIPAA, HL7)

Exceptional leadership and communication skills, inspiring and motivating others to achieve goals.

Proven track record of implementing and driving adoption of new data technologies and methodologies.
