Our Engineering Team


Keka’s Engineering Team follows modern engineering practices and works with the latest stack. Refactoring is central to our philosophy to evolve the design, maintain code consistency, and adapt to dynamic business needs. We believe in DevOps practices—there is no fixed release cycle; our CI/CD pipeline, deployment automation, blue-green deployment, and other related practices give us the flexibility to deploy multiple times a day if required. Our Engineering team is made up of small cohesive teams embracing Agile, working on focused areas to deliver awesome experiences to our customers. We tackle complex technical challenges, learn and adapt, and most importantly, we have fun along the way.


Role Overview


We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead DevOps Engineer with 7+ years of experience to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline management, automation, Azure resource management, and scripting. This role is crucial in driving our DevOps culture and ensuring the seamless integration and deployment of our software solutions. As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with development teams to enhance the efficiency of our deployment pipelines, ensure high availability of applications, and manage cloud resources effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management : Lead and manage CI/CD pipelines integrated with Azure DevOps for automated build and deployment, including pipeline creation, regular deployments, and troubleshooting deployment issues.
  • Automation : Automate Azure services, deployment, and monitoring using Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Azure Resource Management : Design and implement strategies for creating new resources and resource groups, ensuring scalability and security across multiple subscriptions.
  • PowerShell & YAML Scripting : Develop and utilize PowerShell scripts to automate deployments and infrastructure tasks, and write YAML scripts to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Kubernetes Operations : Perform hands-on tasks with Kubernetes for container orchestration, including deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications.
  • Monitoring & Performance : Set up monitoring and logging solutions to ensure application performance and reliability, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Live Site Management : Utilize Azure services, PowerShell, and Kubernetes commands for effective debugging and management of live site deployment issues, including on-call support.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and enhance overall system efficiency.
  • Incident Management : Respond to and resolve incidents related to deployment, infrastructure, and application performance.
  • Documentation : Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and configurations.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience


  • Experience : Minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Azure Cloud : Deep expertise in Azure cloud services, including Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure SQL Database.
  • CI/CD Tools : Proficiency with CI/CD tools and practices, particularly within the Azure DevOps ecosystem.
  • Scripting Skills : Advanced skills in PowerShell scripting for task automation and YAML scripting for CI/CD configuration.
  • Kubernetes : Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, including deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  • Automation Tools : Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Monitoring & Logging : Experience with monitoring and logging tools, including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Security : Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
  • Collaboration : Excellent collaboration skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
