QAQC Engineer

1.0Role1.1PositionQAQC Engineer1.2Reports/ directsReports to: Discipline HeadDirects: Functionally group of Engineers for the project1.3Job summaryQAQC activities for Instrument & Electrical items/equipment & bulks(utilized in Oil/Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical industries)1.4Level in the organization‘E’ &/or ‘M’ Cadre1.5Key RelationshipsInternal: With relevant teams within L&T group.External: With respective clients/Vendors2.0Key Responsibilities2.1- Management--2.2- Quality/HSEPerforms discipline check and Inter-discipline check of documentsEnsures that the required integrity and quality of the work is maintainedFamiliar with the Quality/HSE Management system and their proceduresEnsures timely corrective actions for the identified non-conformities2.3- Project ExecutionPreparation/issue of Inspection and Test Plan.Technical inputs to MR preparation.Preparation of Project specific Quality procedures.Co-ordination with concerned disciplines for QAQC activities.Vendor offer review for QC/Inspection requirements for E&I items/equipment & bulk.To conduct Pre-Inspection Meeting with Vendor.Review of Vendor’s Quality Management System/ Certification.Vendor document review/approval.Preparation of PO wise Tentative Inspection Schedule & Maintain the same progressively.Co-ordination of inspections at Vendor’s shop.Inspection at Vendor’s shop.Review of Inspection reports & the Final documentation.Approval/Issue of Inspection Release Note and to provide dispatch clearance.Co-ordination with site QAQC.2.4- Business Development--2.5- ProposalsReview the scope of work and seeks clarifications/technical queriesMan hour estimation.2.6- Planning & Scheduling--2.7-Contracting & Procurement--3.0Supporting processes3.1- Human resourcesHelps/facilitates team building4.0Job Requirements4.1Language:Good command on spoken and written English4.2Education:Bachelors’ degree in Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering4.3Professional Experience:2-15 years as QAQC Engineer for EPC/EPCM projects.(Experience of shop manufactured items/equipment to be preferred; Site experience is not suitable)4.4Key Competencies(Functional)Work experience in executing EPC/EPCM projects.NDE Level II (will be an added advantage)4.5Key Competencies(Behavioural)Customer Focus, Team Building, Leadership.Communication skills, Stress and Time management skills, Emotional Intelligence.
