Primary Role & Responsibilities
Create contemporary, feature-rich Android applications from the ground up with Kotlin.
Understand the requirements and convert drawings and wireframes into code.
Work with the design and testing teams to produce high-performance apps.
Work with APIs and data sources per the requirements.
Create unit tests.
Work with team members to design, develop, and launch new features.
Put in place security procedures that are consistent with overall security goals.
Using Kotlin, plan, create, construct, and deliver an end-to-end Android mobile app.
Should have exposure working on SCRUM – Agile methodology.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
Handle a high volume of work with deadlines to meet.
Demonstrate ownership of tasks and drive them through to completion.
Desired Skills
Overall, 4-6 years of practical experience and minimum 2 years with Kotlin.
Should be proficient in Kotlin and have familiarity with Java.
Hands on experience on React Native
Knowledge of the Android SDK and Android Studio
Understanding of Android architecture, trends, and APIs
Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision and minimal direction.
A thorough grasp of the whole mobile app development process, beginning with the prototype.
A positive attitude and a desire to learn constantly.
Educational Qualification:
degree in computer science, information science or related field from a leading institute.
