Job Title: Java Backend Developer – AWS Cloud / API MigrationLocation: Gurgaon (Hybrid/On-site)Experience: 5+ YearsEmployment Type: Full-timeJob Overview:We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in API development and migration within AWS Cloud environments . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying scalable backend systems using Java , Spring Boot , and RESTful APIs . Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (K8s) is a strong plus.This role involves working on modernizing APIs and migrating them to AWS-based architectures while ensuring performance, security, and reliability.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Core Java and Spring Boot frameworks.Lead and support API migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern cloud-based APIs on AWS .Develop, test, and deploy RESTful APIs ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement backend architecture and integration strategies.Build cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and IAM .Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to coding and security best practices.Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives.Work in an Agile development environment with active involvement in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.Ensure proper documentation and maintain technical excellence throughout project delivery.Required Skills & Qualifications:5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development .Strong proficiency in Core Java , Spring Boot , and RESTful API development .Proven experience in API migration and integration projects.Solid understanding of AWS Cloud services – EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) .Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling.Experience with CI/CD pipelines , Git , and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Terraform, etc.).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Good to Have:Knowledge of microservices architecture .Exposure to API Gateway , OAuth , and security standards .Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda).Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.Why Join Us:Work on modern API modernization and migration projects using cutting-edge AWS technologies.Collaborative and innovation-driven work environment.Flexible hybrid work model.Competitive salary and professional growth opportunities.
