About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
AVEVA PI Develope
r to design, implement, and support industrial data solutions using the AVEVA PI System (formerly OSIsoft PI). The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on experience configuring PI Data Archive, Asset Framework (AF), and integration components to provide reliable, real-time operational data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain PI System architecture, including
    PI Data Archive
    ,
    PI Asset Framework (AF)
    ,
    PI Vision
    , and PI Interfaces/Connectors.
  • Build and optimize AF templates, event frames, and calculations to model industrial assets and processes.
  • Integrate data from PLCs, SCADA, historians, and IoT devices into PI using the appropriate interfaces/connectors.
  • Develop custom data flows, notifications, and visual dashboards for operations and management.
  • Work with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver high-availability, scalable solutions.
  • Implement best practices for security, data quality, and performance tuning.
  • Provide on-site support, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years
    of professional experience with
    AVEVA/OSIsoft PI
    System development and administration
    .
  • Strong knowledge of:

a). PI Data Archive,
PI Asset Framework (AF)
,
PI Vision
,
PI Integrator/Interfaces
.

b). AF templates, event frames, and calculations.

c). PI SDK/AF SDK, PI Web API, or equivalent scripting for automation.

  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, PowerShell, or Python for customization and integrations.
  • Understanding of industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus, MQTT) and real-time data acquisition.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with cloud integrations (Azure/AWS) and PI to Cloud Gateway.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) or machine-learning pipelines.
  • Knowledge of plant operations, SCADA systems, or manufacturing/energy industry practices.
