Education Requirements: Bachelors/ master’s in mechanical/ Automobile/ Industrial EngineeringDescription: We are looking for Dimensional Management Engineers who have 6-8 years’ experience in the automobile industry, in Body in White domain & Exterior/ Interior to work on end-to-end dimensional management process for Mercedes Benz Body in White during the product development phase until SOP including defining tolerance specification, creating gap & flush plans, defining tolerance concepts and validating concepts through digital tolerance simulationRoles & Responsibilities:1. Define measurement system, locator strategy & tolerance specification for Body in White components and exterior trims in line with styling and manufacturing requirements 2. Ensure robustness of measurement system from part fabrication to complete Bi W3. Analyze the functional requirements of Body in White and create measurement strategy for the fitment of modules4. Discuss and align tolerance concepts with stake holders5. Perform tolerance stack up study 1 D, 2 D, or 3 D during development phase to identify potential risk in production and provide solutions in terms of measurement strategy, alignment strategy, tolerance specification, assembly sequence or/ and design6. Execute tolerance simulation in 3 DCS to replicate the production process digitally, usage of correct probability distribution in relation to manufacturing process and validate the robustness of the concept7. Ensure quality and timelines of every delivery in the project.8. Create Gap & Flush plans & concepts to ensure visual quality of the vehicle9. Discussion with cross functional teams (CFT) for incorporating feedback and providing solutions10. Create and align sub module integration concept to ensure fitment and fulfil the production planning requirement.11. Create and align closures integration concept in line with gap & flush plan to fulfill the requirementsQualification:1. Good understanding about usage of 3 D tolerance simulation tool. 3 DCS preferred2. Deep understanding about GD&T and SPC3. Understanding about perceived quality4. Understanding about manufacturing process in Body in White5. Understanding about assembly operations in automobiles6. Understanding of different measurement systems and inspection methods7. Working proficiency in NX
