About The Opportunity
Positioned in the tertiary-care hospital sector of India's healthcare industry, this role serves critically ill adult patients in a high-acuity intensive care environment. We operate a multi-disciplinary ICU delivering evidence-based critical care, emergency response, and organ-support services—seeking a skilled Intensivist to lead bedside management, improve outcomes, and drive clinical excellence on-site.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care for adult ICU patients: lead daily rounds, develop individualized management plans, and make time-sensitive clinical decisions.
  • Manage advanced life-support interventions including invasive ventilation (ARDS/ventilator strategies), hemodynamic optimization, renal replacement therapy coordination, and extracorporeal support where applicable.
  • Perform and supervise invasive procedures—endotracheal intubation, central venous and arterial cannulation, chest tube placement and emergency airway management—ensuring procedural safety and documentation.
  • Lead sepsis resuscitation, sedation/analgesia protocols, weaning strategies, and multi-organ failure management in collaboration with anaesthesia, nephrology, cardiology and surgical teams.
  • Drive quality-improvement initiatives: develop ICU protocols, infection control measures, morbidity & mortality reviews, and participate in audit/clinical governance activities.
  • Act as ICU on-call leader for emergency responses (code blue), supervise junior doctors and nurses, provide bedside teaching, and communicate clearly with families regarding prognosis and care plans.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must-Have

  • MD/MBBS with postgraduate qualification in Critical Care (DM/DNB/IDCCM or equivalent) or Anaesthesia with significant ICU experience.

  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on ICU experience managing ventilated patients, shock, ARDS, and sepsis in a tertiary-care setting.
  • Valid registration with National/State Medical Council (NMC) and up-to-date life-support certifications (ACLS/ATLS/BLS).

  • Preferred

  • Experience with bedside ultrasound (POCUS), ECMO programs, RRT coordination, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.

  • Prior leadership or consultant-level experience in a 20+ bed ICU, involvement in protocol development, clinical audits, or teaching roles.

Benefits & Culture Highlights

  • Structured on-site ICU role with opportunities for clinical leadership, teaching, and protocol ownership.
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary culture focused on continuous improvement, evidence-based practice and professional development.
  • Competitive compensation, shift-based scheduling with clear work-life balance policies and access to advanced critical-care technologies.

Location: On-site (India). We welcome experienced, compassionate Intensivists who prioritise patient safety, clinical excellence, and teamwork. Apply to join a high-performing ICU team delivering measurable outcomes in critical care.
