Our Engineering team builds high-quality and innovative software to enable our customers to grow their revenues powered by the state-of-the-art subscription management platform.
What you would doDesign, develop, and deliver scalable, high-performance, and reliable software solutions that meet the needs of Chargebee's customers.Lead technical design discussions and make critical decisions that impact the direction of the company's product roadmap.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to understand customer needs and deliver high-quality software products and features.Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to other software engineers on the team.Stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies and apply them to Chargebee's product development.Conceptualize the future of billing, solve real problems for customers, and suggest new ideas and features.Recommend new technologies and influence the direction of product development.Analyze tasks and plan timelines to deliver features on time.Write modular and high-quality code, and strive for continuous improvement.Develop and set up automated test cases to ensure stringent quality standards are met.Empathize with customers and provide excellent technical support by interacting with them to understand their needs and address their concerns.
What you should haveDemonstrated ability to build scalable, reliable, and high-performing software applications through at least 5 years of hands-on professional experience.A self-driven and proactive mindset, combined with the capability to take initiative, deliver results, and be accountable in a small team environment.Comprehensive expertise and practical proficiency in modern front-end frameworks like React or Vue.Solid command over Core Java, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and the Spring Boot framework.Unwavering dedication to writing high-quality code while adhering to best practices in software engineering, security, and design principles.Strong focus on automation and product-centric thinking.Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization and take ownership of releasing new features.Previous experience in the Checkout and Portal domain is considered a valuable asset.
