To ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical systems, equipment, and utilities in the used oil refinery by overseeing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance with statutory norms.

Role & responsibilities

  • Calculate cable ratings and select appropriate cables for different loads.
  • Perform ampere calculations for single-phase and three-phase systems.
  • Install and troubleshoot star-delta connections for motors.
  • Oversee house wiring, cable, lighting circuits, and repairing of electrical fittings in the plant.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot starters (DOL, Star-Delta, Soft starters).
  • Operate and maintain VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) for motor control and energy efficiency.
  • Inspect, operate, and maintain transformers, DG sets, MCC panels, UP, pumps, heaters, and motors.
  • Electrical Panel Operation & Maintenance
  • Instrumentation & Automation (Basic)
  • Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
  • Tool handling - Megger (Insulation Testing), Multimeter Clamp, Meter Earth Tester, Basic hand tools set
  • Ability to handle hazardous area equipment (Flameproof fittings).

Required Skill

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
