We are seeking a Senior Citrix Engineer to support our enterprise Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environment, which enables productivity for approximately 6,000 users daily. This role will serve as an escalation point for complex issues, drive design enhancements, and perform ongoing system maintenance to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Title: Citrix Engineer Location: Complete Remote Employment Type: Freelancer for 3 Months Shift Timing: Rotational shifts No of Openings : 2 Responsibilities: Administer, maintain, and continuously improve CVAD components running on Windows Server 2022, Windows 10, and Windows 11, with system uptime as a top priority. Serve as 1st and 2nd level support for all Citrix-related issues. Design, configure, and maintain Citrix NetScaler. Provide subject matter expertise on Citrix NetScaler appliances. Manage incidents and handle Priority 1 issues during on-call rotations, ensuring timely resolution and communication. Perform system software and hardware installations and upgrades. Recommend and implement system changes while maintaining functionality and stability. Conduct analyses and report findings to management. Ensure compliance with security standards and organizational policies. Act as the technical SME in key Citrix technologies. Ensure adherence to SLA expectations. Collaborate effectively with internal technical teams. Participate in rotating off-hours on-call support for Citrix issues, including required weekend work and weekly environment reboots. Stay updated on advancements and best practices within Citrix technologies. Qualifications / Education: 3+ years of experience supporting and maintaining enterprise Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments (24xx). Experience with Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) 23xx/24xx. Strong proficiency in configuring Citrix NetScaler (ADC), including SDX, MPX, and VPX. Expertise in load balancing concepts and GSLB. Experience with NetScaler console management. Hands-on experience with Citrix Profile Management and FSLogix. Knowledge of LAN/WAN, firewall technologies, and VPN. Understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Infoblox DNS. Experience with Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V). Proficiency in scripting, particularly PowerShell. Strong understanding of VMware vCenter technologies. Experience using ControlUp for monitoring (preferred). Experience managing IGEL thin clients (a plus). Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong advocacy skills for Citrix technologies, with effective cross-team communication. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
