Job Description :


Role : Senior Software Engineer (Mobile SDK)


As a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile SDK) at Skillz, you will report to our Director of Engineering, Dasa Anand, and lead the technical vision and strategy for our SDK organization.


Your role will involve shaping the technical direction for our mobile SDK, supporting the growth of our core business, and exploring new product domains. You will focus on developing core features that enhance retention, engagement, and monetization metrics for our most valuable customers. Your primary responsibility will be to build and deliver a cutting-edge real-time SDK offered to developers by Skillz.


Key Responsibilities :


- Lead the development and implementation of key features for the Skillz mobile SDK.


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and design, to deliver high-quality consumer-facing products.


- Drive the technical strategy for SDK development, ensuring scalability, reliability, and innovation.


- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, delivering results on time and within scope.


- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.


Qualifications :


- 4+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on mobile development.


- Proficiency in "React Native" mobile development.


- Expertise in mobile development for Android and iOS, including maintenance and review, using at least two of the following languages e.g. React Native (JavaScript, TypeScript), Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift.


- Experience in the gaming industry is highly desirable.


- Alternatively, experience with Unity and a passion for building services for games is preferred.


- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering consumer-facing products and features from scratch.


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.


- Availability to work in-office 5 days a week in Bangalore, India.
