Job Purpose:


The ServiceNow platform in ZEISS is currently used for IT Service Management, HR Service Management, and IT Business Management on a global scale. Within the corporate governance department, the test team is responsible for the quality assurance and functional testing of ServiceNow applications and products. As a Sr. Test analyst, you will be part of a team of test analysts, led by a ServiceNow Test Manager. You will be responsible for writing test scripts after thoroughly analyzing stories as per the test governance established by Test Manager. This will involve following the ServiceNow Test Strategy defined by the test manager and implementing best practice whilst assisting in execution of all testing phases, creating, and automating test scripts, and working closely with rest of the project team.

Duties and Responsibilities :


  • Work together in the team of test analyst to own the quality assurance responsibility of an assigned ServiceNow module.
  • Analyze the requirements in the form of user stories and leverage ISTQB defined test case identification techniques to identify positive and negative test cases.
  • Design, author and execute the test cases as per the test plan.
  • Automate the test cases using ATF where necessary.
  • Work across all test phases including UAT phase along with the stakeholders.
  • Participate in regression testing specially during the platform upgrades.
  • Act as coach and trainer for junior test analysts in projects.
  • Be an active contributor to setting new standards across the testing team.
  • Closely collaborate with our functional process experts, architects, and development team.
  • Support stable and secure operations of the Zeiss ServiceNow platform, when needed.
  • Create and update documentation and procedures.
  • Assist the test manager in test planning and strategizing.


Qualifications:

  • A university degree in IT, information systems or a comparable qualification.
  • > 7 years of experience in Software Testing.
  • > 3 years for experience in ServiceNow Testing
  • ServiceNow Fundamentals/ ServiceNow ITSM experience/ Relevant Certification.
  • ServiceNow ATF experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Quality Assurance as per ISTQB guidelines.
  • Very good Knowledge in test analysis, documentation, and techniques
  • ITSM, ITBM, HRSM, ITOM experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience in agile development processes
  • Experience of working in co-located team with willingness to travel.
  • Very Good communication skills in English.
