Data Engineer- Medical Imaging

Summary

The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data infrastructure for a healthcare organization specifically from an imaging perspective. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with healthcare imaging data, including DICOM, non-DICOM images, PACS, and RIS, and will be good to have HL7 and IHE workflow knowledge. They must have experience with SQL, Python/Java, and preferably tools such as ETL (Talend or equivalent), Elastic Search, etc.

Responsibilities

Design and develop data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sourcesMonitor and troubleshoot data pipelinesWork with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs

QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in data engineeringExperience in working with healthcare imaging dataStrong knowledge of SQLExperience with Elasticsearch and data integration tools such as TalendExperience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or AzureExpertise in dealing with imaging data (DICOM and preferably CT/MRI experience)Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and teamwork skills
