About the role:In your role you will support the data services team in our newly developed cloud-based platform. The role requires end-to-end understanding of the system to support its regular maintenance, further development and to provide support to the risk management community in the use of our application. Apart of "Business As Usual" work you will also participate on further improvement of the system, design and development of new interfaces and functions in close cooperation with Application/Data Engineers. Your tasks will include:Capturing user requirements, their analysis and user stories preparationCooperation with developers during implementation for further clarification and ensuring acceptance criteria are metCommunication with international user communityParticipation on internal testing of newly developed features, supporting user testing and successful roll-out to productionEnsuring up-to-date documentationYou will have the possibility to further develop your skillset, both technical and professional as well as learning about crucial Risk Management processesAbout the team:Our team together with you is responsible for taking care of an in-house built application, which is used for analysis and reserves estimation for Swiss Re. Our main customer is actuarial community within the company.We are looking for an experienced, pro-active and curious Business Engineer who wants to take a meaningful role supporting our team of Business Engineers in the Risk Management InfoTech unit.We are based in Hyderabad and collaborate daily with colleagues working in various locations in Europe and Bangalore.About you:You are pro-active person with curious mindset seeking for creative solutions to improve things for us and our business partners. To succeed in this opportunity, you should be results driven, knowing when to seek help. You enjoy interacting with people, listen them carefully and understand their work and related needs.Must haves:7+ years' experience working as a business analyst in data management.Strong understanding and experience of data modelling and data architectureKnowledge of SQL is a must.Prior experience working hands on as a data architect/data engineer.You will work with cloud-based data platform (Azure DevOps, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Palantir) so experience in SQL and Python is neededExperience working in an agile set-up, cross-cultural set-up and familiar with SCRUMAdept Excel, Word, Powerpoint to help with analysis and documentationSelf-driven, ownership mindset showing willingness to learn and gain expertiseStrong analytical skills, you are able to understand problems and work independently on solutions with focus on detail without losing overall pictureDemonstrate good spoken and written English communication skillsNice to have:Experience working in the financial services or (re)insurance industryExperience with PowerBI is beneficialAbout Swiss ReSwiss Re is one of the world’s leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer, working to make the world more resilient.
