The successful candidate will design and implement solutions to business requirements. We’re looking for someone with a strong technical aptitude and a solid problem-solving sense, an excellent communicator and a willing team-player; excited about giving their best every day. This position involves development specific to customer requests and to general leasing and loan market requirements.Our Software Engineers develop and deliver the next generation technologies and software to major global brands in the automotive, consumer and asset finance space. We deliver innovative solutions to more than 100 of the world's leading finance organizations in 30 countries. We’re looking for Engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas of the technology stack, such as distributed computing, microservices, system design, server side, UI design.Role and ResponsibilitiesYour days can be extremely varied from developing new features for the next release to working on defects for a product already in review by our client. We use Java with Spring and Hibernate for the server-side solution and sophisticated JavaScript with Ajax and Angular on the client side, typically you will work front to back and be exposed to both Java, JavaScript, database and tools such Docker. You will work closely with our Business Analysts and testers and be involved in Client demonstrations andactivities. We utilize strong testing and test-driven development practices to both refactor and improve the code base without impacting current production features, this is supported by using code quality tools like Sonar to give them metrics coupled with nightly continuous deployment where automated Selenium and Gherkin-based tests are run. We follow an Agile methodology based on SCRUM and have daily stand-ups to allow the team to synchronize tasks for the next 24 hours.As an experienced engineer you can become one of our SME’s with all things related to Java, we run workshops, lunch and learn sessions and even and sponsor tech meet ups which will give you the chance to inspire the younger generation.About YouAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skill. Deep understanding of current and emerging web architecture and tools. Hands-on experience with frameworks such as J2EE, Grails, Spring MVC etc. Extensive knowledge of Java, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, web services, and related technologies. Preferred experience with technologies such as WebLogic and WebSphere. General relational database experience, most notably later versions of SQL Server, and Oracle. Exposure on how and best ways to improve product performance an advantage. Ability to multi-task and pay strong attention to details. Ability to function in a high pressure and demanding environment. Organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks/assignments/projects. Participate in special projects. Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree (BE / B. Tech) from a four-year college or university in CS, MIS, or ECE or equivalent experience preferred. Professional certification required in some areas OR Postgraduate in related discipline and generally 6-8 years of experience in related fields 6-8 years software development experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Required knowledge in Java or J2EE used by assigned products. and a Preferred knowledge in specific technologies (e.g. UI Development experience. Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery). Intermediate knowledge of relational databases (Oracle and/or SQL Server) with proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL language. Experienced professional contributor with responsibility for an advanced area of work in the professional field. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments. Has good understanding of how own area/team contributes to work unit’s success; recognizes wider business implications of decisions/actions. Primary contribution is in applying knowledge (product, industry, professional, technical) doing individual contributor work. Develop knowledge of the lease/loan finance industry.
