The role involves ensuring that all systems and components are tested, commissioned, and functioning according to the project specifications and standards. Key Responsibilities: Planning and Coordination : Develop and implement testing and commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient execution of testing and commissioning activities. Execution : Supervise and participate in the testing and commissioning of electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve issues encountered during testing and commissioning. Provide technical support and guidance to the team to address any challenges. Documentation : Prepare and maintain detailed reports, test records, and commissioning documentation. Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner. Quality Assurance : Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure that all systems and components meet the required standards and specifications. Implement corrective actions as needed. Team Management : Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers and technicians. Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team environment. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in testing and commissioning within the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) industry, preferably in power transmission and distribution or related sectors. Skills : Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. Proficiency in using testing and commissioning tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong project management and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Additional Information: Travel : The role may require frequent travel to various project sites. Work Environment : The position involves working in both office and field environments, with exposure to various weather conditions and site hazards.
