Job Description:
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Tax Reviewer to join our team in Bengaluru. The Senior CPA Tax Reviewer will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our clients' tax filings while providing expert guidance and support to junior team members.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive reviews of complex tax returns prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to relevant regulations and guidelines.
Analyze financial data, documents, and reports to identify tax optimization opportunities and potential risks for clients.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, assisting with technical questions, complex tax issues, and professional development.
Collaborate with tax managers and partners to develop tax planning strategies and recommendations for clients, optimizing their tax positions and minimizing liabilities.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and effectively communicate implications to clients and team members.
Assist in client meetings and presentations, articulating tax strategies, findings, and recommendations with clarity and professionalism.
Foster strong client relationships through exceptional service, responsiveness, and proactive communication.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, tools, and resources to enhance efficiency and quality of service delivery.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all interactions and engagements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certified.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax compliance and review.
Strong experience on US Tax Form – 1040.
Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, with a strong understanding of their application to various industries and client scenarios.
Proven track record of reviewing and analyzing complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and entities across multiple industries.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify tax issues, and develop strategic solutions.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience in coaching and developing junior staff.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work products.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in leveraging technology to enhance tax processes and workflows.
Can review tax returns – Federal Individual Taxes, State Taxes, Business Taxes (bonus)
If they technically strong need to sign off the Tax Return Forms.
