About the role

As a Systems / Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our automation and control systems. You will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our manufacturing processes. Your expertise in PLC programming and control systems will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality

products to our customers.

Experience Required: 3-8 years with prior working experience in PLC, HMI & DAS

Qualification: Bachelors degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering or related field with relevant experience.

Location: Verna-Goa

Role & responsibilities

  • Design, program, and configure PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems for the DAHS (Data Acquisition and Handling System) Software.
  • Develop various HMI screens that align with client standards to facilitate seamless interaction with PLC systems.
  • Create flowcharts and diagrams to visually illustrate the functionality and operation of PLC programs.
  • Analyse system requirements to design and implement suitable PLC and HMI programs tailored to meet the specific needs of each system.
  • Thoroughly test newly developed programs to ensure they meet design specifications and function as intended.
  • Independently troubleshoot real-time programming errors in PLC logic to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Provide remote support to customers by guiding them through troubleshooting procedures to address system issues effectively.
  • Oversee and ensure the successful installation of PLC programs, collaborating with the installation team as needed.
  • Offer technical support to clients, addressing inquiries and issues related to PLC and HMI systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to Technicians working on PLC-related projects, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Prepare user-friendly documents and manuals to instruct end-users on how to operate and utilize PLC and HMI systems effectively.
  • Possess a sound knowledge of electrical wiring principles to ensure proper integration of PLC systems.

Required Skills

  • Proven PLC programming expertise, including ladder logic, SFC, and FBD, with the ability to modify code effectively.
  • Exceptional logical reasoning for troubleshooting complex issues in PLC and HMI systems.
  • Proficient in PLC hardware configuration and various communication protocols in industrial automation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders and able to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated, team collaboration, and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Capable of handling various tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
