Role Summary
Hyly.AI is reimagining Quality Assurance through AI-driven automation and agentic testing tools. We are seeking an AI-Powered QA Automation Engineer to lead the evolution of our QA processes by building intelligent, automated testing systems. You’ll work with both traditional automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Postman) and next-generation AI tools like Claude Code, GPT-based testing agents, and autonomous QA frameworks.
This role goes beyond scripting—it’s about shaping the future of QA with AI. You’ll reduce reliance on manual testing, mentor the QA team in adopting agentic workflows, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products. By embedding AI-powered QA into the SDLC and leveraging collaboration tools like Notion for reporting and documentation, you’ll help Hyly.AI set a new benchmark for speed, accuracy, and innovation in multifamily technology.
Key Responsibilities
- AI-Augmented QA Automation: Design and implement AI-driven frameworks for functional, API, UX/UI, and data validation testing. Leverage tools like Claude Code, ChatGPT-based test agents, or similar agentic automation platforms.
- Intelligent Test Execution: Create, maintain, and scale automated test cases that combine traditional frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) with AI-powered validation.
- Mentor QA in AI Adoption: Guide manual testers in transitioning to AI + automation workflows, upskilling them in prompt engineering, AI agent supervision, and hybrid testing strategies.
- Continuous Quality in the SDLC: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven quality checks at every stage of development.
- Analytics & Reporting: Generate insights from automation coverage, AI-driven test outcomes, and defect trends to enable data-backed decisions. Document processes and results in Notion for team-wide visibility.
- Drive Innovation: Experiment with emerging AI QA tools, evaluate their ROI, and propose cutting-edge strategies to future-proof Hyly.AI’s QA practice.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in QA automation, with hands-on exposure to AI/agentic testing tools (Claude Code, GPT-4/5 agents, or equivalent).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript (mandatory) and working knowledge of Python, Ruby on Rails, and React. Strong experience in Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and Postman.
- API & UX/UI Testing Expertise: Ability to design and execute automated test cases across APIs and user experiences.
- AI-First Mindset: Experience integrating AI into QA workflows—e.g., AI-assisted test generation, autonomous debugging, or intelligent defect triaging.
- Mentorship Skills: Proven ability to upskill QA engineers into automation + AI testing methodologies.
- QA & SDLC Knowledge: Deep understanding of QA methodologies, with a track record of embedding quality practices into the development lifecycle.
- Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- AI Tool Experience: Familiarity with Claude Code, ChatGPT-based agents, or similar LLM-powered QA tools.
- Collaboration Tools: Experience using Notion for documentation, process tracking, or dashboards.
- Certifications: Selenium, Playwright, Postman, or AI/ML certifications.
- QA Certifications: ISTQB, CSTAS, or equivalent.
