Must Required Skills:

10+ years of experience in QA for Core Banking Systems (FLEXCUBE preferred)
Hands-on end-to-end implementation from project initiation to go-live
Strong understanding of banking operations: GL, CASA, Loans, OD, Teller, Trade Loans, Securities, Treasury, Payments
Experience in test strategy: Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT, Performance
Strong experience in defect management, triage, RCA, compliance & governance
Familiarity with QA tools (Azure, Selenium) and exposure to automation frameworks
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management & communication skills

Preferred Skills:
Experience in digital core transformation projects
Knowledge of SDLC, QA governance & risk management policies
Exposure to automation setup for regression testing

Job Description:

Job Purpose:

• Lead the Quality Assurance (QA) function for the Core Banking implementation program, ensuring high-quality delivery across all phases.
• Define and execute QA strategies, test plans, and automation frameworks aligned with the banks digital transformation goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams/ project testing team to validate the business requirements, identify defects, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and mentor QA teams across onsite/offshore locations.
• Responsible to lead the Core Production Implementation function within the SLA, schedule, budget and scope parameters, including testing & overseeing the quality and compliance controls throughout the project life cycle.
• Lead the transformation of core banking application to the next version. Advanced knowledge on Functional Architecture of the core system of the bank and experience in managing implementation of digital core is a definite plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead QA planning, execution, and reporting for FLEXCUBE Core Banking implementations.
• Define test strategies for functional, integration, regression, UAT, and performance testing.
• Manage QA teams and coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Vendors.
• Review and validate Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specifications.
• Ensure traceability of requirements through test cases and defect tracking.
• Oversee defect triaging, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
• Effective defect managements, reporting and escalations.
• Ensure readiness for production cutover through rigorous testing and simulation.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC, QA standards, Governance and risk management policies.

Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships:

• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, IT, and vendor teams.
• Ensure timely communication of risks, issues, and test progress to management.
• Adhere to operational risk and information security policies.
• Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and QA governance practices.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in QA for Core Banking systems, preferably FLEXCUBE (FCUBS V11.x to 14.x).
• Strong understanding of banking operations: GL, Loans, CASA, OD, Teller, Trade Loans, Securities, Treasury, Payments.
• Experience in manual and automated testing (plus).
• Familiarity with QA tools (e.g., Azure, Selenium).
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in digital core transformation projects is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SDLC process
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
