Job Title: Academic Counselor (Entry-Level)

Location: Gurgaon

Job Type: Full-time

Experience Level: Entry-Level (0-2 years)

Key Responsibilities:

- Academic Advising:- Assist students in selecting appropriate courses, understanding academic requirements, and navigating degree programs.- Guide students in creating academic plans that align with their career goals and aspirations.- Support and Guidance:- Provide one-on-one counseling to help students address academic challenges, improve performance, and manage study-related stress.- Offer strategies for improving time management, organization, and study skills.- Academic Progress Monitoring:- Track students’ academic progress and provide advice on strategies for improvement, particularly for those facing academic probation or other challenges.- Career Guidance:- Help students explore potential career paths and connect academic choices with future job opportunities.- Assist students with internship searches, resume building, and interview preparation.- Collaborative Support:- Work closely with faculty and other student services to ensure students are receiving the appropriate support.- Refer students to additional campus resources such as tutoring, counseling, and academic workshops.- Workshops and Programs:- Support and participate in workshops on topics like study strategies, career planning, and academic success.- Assist with new student orientation sessions and campus-wide student engagement programs.

Qualifications:

- Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.- Master’s degree in Counseling or Higher Education is a plus, but not required.- Experience:- 0 to 2 years of experience in academic advising, student services, or a related field is preferred, but we are open to entry-level candidates with relevant academic experience or internships.- Skills:- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with a diverse student population.- Empathy, active listening, and the ability to provide personalized support to students.- Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.- Basic knowledge of academic programs, student development, and career planning resources is a plus.- Additional Requirements:- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.- A passion for student success and personal development.- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
