Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ENT Nurse to provide specialized nursing care to patients with ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions. The ENT Nurse will assist physicians during examinations and procedures, manage pre- and post-operative care, and educate patients on treatment plans and self-care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist ENT specialists during clinical assessments, minor procedures, and surgeries.
- Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, history taking, and ENT-specific observations.
- Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and instruments for ENT procedures (e.g., endoscopy, ear suctioning).
- Provide post-operative care and instructions to patients following ENT surgeries.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient responses and report any changes or complications to the physician.
- Educate patients and families on managing ENT conditions, hygiene practices, and medication use.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Coordinate with other healthcare team members for continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (GNM/BSc Nursing).
- Valid nursing license/registration (e.g., RN, RGN).
- Minimum (X) years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting; ENT experience and freshers.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of ENT disorders, treatments, and procedures.
- Strong clinical and observational skills.
- Ability to handle ENT equipment (e.g., suction machines, otoscopes, endoscopes).
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Empathetic, detail-oriented, and organized.
Work Conditions:
- May require working in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Exposure to clinical environments, including minor surgical procedures.
- Physical activity such as standing for long periods and assisting in patient mobility.
