Java Developer

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain back-end systems to meet customer business needs using modern software development practicesParticipate in application architecture, solution development, and code reviewsDesign and implement various types of tests (unit, integration, functional,Contribute to solution development and process improvementsWork within an international distributed team in an Agile environmentCommunicate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, QA, and other stakeholdersContribute to the product roadmap and planningAdhere to high coding standards, and software best practices, and write highly testable, automatable, and performant code

Requirements

2 to 3 years of experience as a junior Java developer in software developmentGood knowledge of Computer Science and Computing Theory (OOP, SOLID, database theory, code testing practices, algorithms, data structures, design patterns)Proficiency in network interactions (protocols, REST, RPC) and authentication and authorization flowsStrong experience with Java and its ecosystemExperience with REST API development, Spring Boot, testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito), ORM (Hibernate), RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and version control systems (Git)Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), Docker, and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)Good problem-solving and analytical skillsFluent or upper-intermediate English proficiencyEducationBachelor’s / Engineering degree (IT / Computer Science will be added advantage)

Desirable

Experience with Java build tools (., Maven, Gradle)Familiarity with containerization technologies (., Docker)Knowledge of testing frameworks (., JUnit, Mockito)Understanding of REST API development principlesExposure to cloud computing platforms (., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure)Experience with Agile methodologies (., Scrum, Kanban)Knowledge of software design patterns and best practicesFamiliarity with continuous integration and deployment tools (., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)Hands-on experience with personal projects or open-source contributions
