We are looking for an experienced
Linux System Administrator
with strong expertise in
Red Hat and Ubuntu environments
to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux servers, while also managing virtualization technologies to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain
    Linux servers (Red Hat & Ubuntu)
    , ensuring optimal system performance, security, and reliability.
  • Manage and administer
    virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, etc.)
    to support scalable and resilient infrastructure.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, proactively addressing potential issues to maintain high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to
    Linux systems, virtualization, and networking
    .
  • Implement and enforce system security measures, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain
    automation scripts
    (Bash, Python, Perl) for system tasks and operational efficiency.
  • Configure and manage essential services such as
    DHCP, DNS, NTP, SMTP, and SNMP
    .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure, cloud environments (AWS/Azure), and hybrid setups.
  • Perform routine system backups, storage management, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Provide support for Windows servers (basic administration as required).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience
    as a Linux System Administrator (Red Hat & Ubuntu).
  • Strong expertise in
    Linux system configuration, management, and troubleshooting
    .
  • Proficiency in
    shell scripting and automation
    (Bash, Python, Perl).
  • Solid experience with
    virtualization platforms
    (VMware, KVM, or similar).
  • Knowledge of
    networking concepts and protocols
    (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, NTP, SNMP).
  • Basic knowledge of
    storage, backup solutions, and Windows server administration
    .
  • Familiarity with
    configuration management tools
    (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Certifications
    such as
    RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer)
    or similar are highly desirable.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to
    cloud platforms
    (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience in
    infrastructure automation
    and DevOps practices.
