We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to integrate security practices within our DevOps processes and ensure that our systems, applications, and infrastructure are built and maintained with security at the core. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security frameworks, with the ability to balance speed, scalability, and protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Secure CI/CD Pipelines: Design, implement, and maintain secure build, deployment, and release pipelines across multiple environments.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure Security: Embed security controls into AWS/Azure/GCP environments, including identity and access management, network security, and vulnerability management.
  • Automation & Monitoring: Automate security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC scanning) within pipelines and ensure continuous monitoring of applications and infrastructure.
  • Incident Response: Collaborate with security teams to respond to vulnerabilities, threats, and breaches; implement remediation measures proactively.
  • Collaboration: Partner with developers, operations to promote a security-first mindset and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA, etc. where applicable).
  • Tooling & Best Practices: Evaluate, implement, and manage DevSecOps tools for code analysis, secrets management, dependency scanning, and runtime protection.
  • Culture Enablement: Advocate for security-as-code, DevSecOps practices, and knowledge sharing across engineering team.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Practical experience with application security testing tools (Snyk, SonarQube, Checkmarx, OWASP ZAP).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, CIS, OWASP Top 10).

Preferred:

  • Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), CEH, CISSP, or DevSecOps certifications.
  • Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK, Azure Sentinel).
  • Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, Go).
  • Understanding of microservices security, zero-trust principles, and secrets management (Vault, AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault).
