MFG Consultant

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with clients to understand their manufacturing operations, including processes, workflows, and challenges.
• Conduct thorough assessments of existing manufacturing systems, procedures, and practices to identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze data related to production, inventory, quality, and resource utilization to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies, methodologies, and solutions to streamline manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
• Provide guidance and support in the selection, implementation, and integration of manufacturing software systems and tools, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, IT, and finance, to ensure alignment and coordination in the implementation of manufacturing improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities to empower client teams with the skills and knowledge needed to sustain improvements over time.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) and conducting regular reviews to identify further opportunities for enhancement.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in manufacturing, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in manufacturing operations and process optimization to both internal teams and clients.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, APICS) is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Consultant or similar role, with a focus on process improvement, operational excellence, and technology implementation within manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, methodologies, and best practices, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management (TQM).
• Experience with manufacturing software systems, such as ERP, MES, SCADA, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
• Project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously within defined timelines and budgets.
• Flexibility to travel to client sites as needed.
