Sr. Devops Engineer Job Description :

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools that enable our development teams to deliver high-quality software quickly and efficiently. You will work closely with software engineers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and scalable operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Management :

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

- Monitor and optimize performance, security, and costs across our cloud environments.

CI/CD Pipeline Development :

- Build and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline code deployment and testing.

- Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and code quality tools into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Ensure zero-downtime deployments and handle rollback strategies when needed.

Collaboration and Support :

- Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide the necessary infrastructure and tools.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers and developers on best practices in DevOps.

Security and Compliance :

- Implement and maintain security best practices across infrastructure and deployment processes.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) where applicable.

- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Monitoring and Incident Management :

- Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of systems.

- Develop incident response plans and participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.

- Analyze and resolve incidents to minimize downtime and prevent future occurrences.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement :

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps, cloud computing, and software development.

- Continuously improve processes, tools, and infrastructure to increase efficiency and reduce errors.

- Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies that align with company goals.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar role.

- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).

- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and automation.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

- Strong understanding of networking, security, and best practices in cloud environments.

- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have :

- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).

- Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.

- Knowledge of container orchestration and management tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).

- Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g., security as code, automated security testing).
