As Mechanical Design Engineer (CAD) joining the startup during its early stages, you would get to work closely with the founders who've been part of the leadership teams of companies like Curefit, Ola, Inmobi, Livspace, etc., and work on a variety of problems across the stack.

Designation: Mechanical Design Engineer (CAD)Number of positions available: 1Qualifications: Diploma/BE/Btech in Mechanical, CAD/CAM, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related engineering fields.Experience: 5+ years for Diploma and 3+ years for BE/Btech

Role and responsibilities:● Converting 3D CAD design into 2D drawings with proper application of GD&Ts and welding symbols, so that thecomponents are manufactured as per required specifications.● Preparing CAD model as per the concept conveyed by Design & Development Engineers.● Taking ownership of CAD design and drawing, which include getting reviewed and approved from concerned teammembers.● Estimation time for completion of task take-up or assigned.● Aid in the selection of materials for the components.● Following the design process as per company system and maintaining documents as per it.● Maintaining the drawing revisions based on the feedback from the development/manufacturing team.

Must-Have Skills:● Excellent drafting & CAD modeling skills using Solidworks software. Also, should be able to troubleshoot the CADdesign problems.● Hands-on experience in application of GD&T complying to ASME 14.5 Y.● Hands-on experience in application of welding sizing & symbols as per IS/ISO and/or AWS.● Experience in using Handbooks like PSG Design Data book, CMTI Handbook for defining tolerances.● Should be aware of manufacturing processes like laser cutting, CNC bending, CNC-VMC machining, Metal Casting,Injection molding, MIG-TIG welding, Drilling, Milling etc● Should have the ability to meet deadlines.● Good problem-solving skills.● Good communication skills, both verbal and written.● Proficient in office tools like Microsoft Office and Excel.

Good to have skills:● Good knowledge of metrology like using vernier calipers, angle gauge, dial gauge, micrometer etc.● Experience of working with cross-functional teams.● Shop Floor experience in using various manufacturing machineries.
