Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance Specialist to lead and streamline our financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support data-driven decision-making. This role will play a crucial part in Hyppy’s growth journey by providing financial clarity, tracking profitability, and supporting business expansion. The Finance Specialist will work closely with the leadership team and ensure smooth cash flow, cost control, and compliance.


Key Responsibilities


Financial Management & Reporting

  • Maintain and update financial records, including cash flow, P&L, and balance sheets.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership and board review.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and profitability analysis for key projects and initiatives.


Cost Control & Profitability Analysis

Monitor operating expenses, supplier costs, and production costs to ensure cost efficiency.

Calculate and track product-level profitability using weighted mean and other relevant metrics.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and support price revisions to maintain margin targets.


Cash Flow & Payment Management

  • Track receivables, payables, and ensure timely vendor payments and collections.
  • Manage and optimize working capital, ensuring adequate cash flow for daily operations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and oversee payment schedules to prevent overdue liabilities.

Audit, Compliance & Taxation

Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audits and timely submission of financial statements.

Ensure timely GST, TDS, and other statutory filings in compliance with regulatory standards.

Maintain financial data confidentiality and follow best practices in compliance and reporting.


Inventory & Costing Support

Work closely with the inventory team to assess product-wise costing and recommend price changes.

Support in valuation of inventory and ensure alignment of stock with financial records.


Business Insights & Decision Support

Provide financial insights for key decision-making related to marketing spend, sales promotions, and operational expenses.

Analyze performance across sales channels (website, Amazon, Myntra) and suggest strategies to maximize returns.

Collaborate with the leadership team to prepare for board meetings and investment discussions.


Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA/CFA qualification is a plus).

3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or similar roles (experience in e-commerce/retail preferred).

Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.

Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets (experience with weighted mean, financial modeling, and analysis is a plus).

Knowledge of taxation (GST, TDS) and compliance requirements for Indian businesses.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
