Job Description:

Tesseract Esports is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and highly organized League Operations Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment. Proficiency in key operational tools, a proactive mindset, and a passion for esports operations are essential for this role.

As a League Operations Associate, you will play a pivotal role in managing, coordinating, and executing tournament-related operations. You'll work closely with internal teams—including project operations, production, creative, and marketing—as well as external players, talents, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of our esports leagues and tournaments.

Founded in 2015, Tesseract Esports aims to elevate and transform the nascent gaming scene in South and Southeast Asia into a high-profile, professional esports industry. We pioneered mobile esports in the region and were among the first to produce large-scale esports events and gaming activations in India, paving the way for the growth of esports in the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Possess in-depth knowledge of Discord and use its features effectively to manage league operations.
  2. Exhibit excellent communication skills to interact professionally and calmly with players, talents, and stakeholders.
  3. Utilize advanced Excel skills for data management, analysis, and operational reporting.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and team leads to ensure seamless execution of player and talent-related operations.
  5. Host and observe tournament matches, ensuring compliance with league rules and standards while addressing any operational issues in real-time.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in esports, gaming, event management, business operations, or communications.
  2. 1+ year of experience in esports, gaming, or event operations.
  3. Strong understanding of esports operations, including player/team management and tournament structure.
  4. Proficiency in Discord and Excel for communication, data management, and reporting.
  5. Experience in organizing and observing esports tournaments/events, ensuring smooth operations.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle pressure and interact professionally.
  7. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Passion for esports with a solid understanding of the gaming industry and its cultural nuances.
