Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Shayona Institute of Business Management and Computer Application in Ahmedabad. This is a full-time, entry-level position ideal for freshers with an interest in laboratory practices and educational research. Candidates should have up to one year of related work experience. The position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic education environment, specifically within a BCA lab setting. Qualifications and Skills Must be familiar with pipetting techniques to accurately transfer liquids between containers in a laboratory setting. Required proficiency in sample preparation including measuring and mixing substances for experiments and tests. Strong data entry and record-keeping abilities for maintaining accurate lab results and inventories. Must understand chemical safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with safety regulations. Hands-on experience with basic laboratory equipment operation is essential for daily tasks and experiments. Ability to follow and implement quality control protocols to maintain standards in laboratory experiments and processes. Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) or equivalent degree is required to support the technical aspects of the role. Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills to work collaboratively and report findings effectively. Roles and Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure all tools are ready for experimental use. Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments under the supervision of senior staff members. Record and manage data accurately to facilitate reliable research outcomes and conclusions. Participate in maintaining safety standards in the laboratory by adhering to chemical safety guidelines. Support the academic team in research and education activities by providing technical and operational assistance. Manage inventory of lab supplies and ensure timely procurement of necessary materials and equipment. Contribute to the development of innovative research methods and educational practices. Provide assistance in analyzing test results and compiling reports for management and educational staff.
