Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain firmware for STM microcontrollers.
  • Design, implement, and test embedded software for various applications.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware.
  • Implement communication protocols and technologies (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, USB) for device connectivity.
  • Develop strategies for remote device management, firmware updates, and over-the-air (OTA) programming.
  • Conduct thorough testing of embedded systems, identify issues, and troubleshoot problems related to device connectivity, data transmission, and system integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage project timelines, coordinate resources, and ensure effective communication throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to firmware and hardware interactions.
  • Document firmware design and implementation details.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in embedded firmware development.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Java.
  • Hands-on experience with STM microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of communication systems and protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, USB).
  • Understanding of IoT concepts and experience with IoT devices.
  • Familiarity with PCB design is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Experience in designing and prototyping embedded systems using appropriate hardware components.
  • Familiarity with data management techniques, including data collection, storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Understanding of security principles and implementation of security measures for embedded systems.
  • Experience in development on Linux Platform, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and Embedded platforms.
  • Ability to conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of embedded solutions.
  • Project management skills, including timeline management, resource coordination, and effective communication.
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems).
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with debugging tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LoRa).
  • Understanding of low-power design and battery-operated systems.
