Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Coimbatore or Bangalore

Responsibilities

- Take sketches or 2D drawings and transfer them to 3D in SolidWorks.- Create layouts, detailed drawings, and BOMs as needed. Hands-on proficiency in SolidWorks is required.- Provide timely communication on questions status and any other project-related items.- Participate actively in project review meetings and show progress of work. Organized and confident in completing tasks.

Requirements & Skills

- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required. Master’s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.- 7+ years of relevant industrial experience is required.- Ability to take direction remotely and speak and communicate clearly in English.- Ability to articulate technical details in design review meetings.- Strong understanding of basic principles of mechanical engineering and mechanisms.- Strong understanding of proper fastener use.- Basic knowledge of pneumatics and electromechanical devices.- Background in tolerancing will be needed for design development and details.- Good knowledge of GD&T.- Ability to take instruction and not deviate from it unless there is good reason.
