Job Title: Experienced Medical Coder (US Healthcare)

We are seeking a Certified Diagnostic IPDRG coder to join our team.

Certifications and Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
  • Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
  • Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)

Candidates must maintain their certifications as active.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze medical records to identify pertinent diagnoses and procedures.
  • Assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes accurately to reflect clinical documentation.
  • Maintain the integrity and precision of coded data.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in coding audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance coding accuracy standards.
  • Maintain productivity levels while adhering to established coding quality and efficiency benchmarks.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Inpatient Facility coding.
  • Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and PCS coding systems, including comprehensive knowledge of guidelines and conventions.
  • Good exposure in MS DRG, APR DRG, PCS, PDX Sections and CC/MCC Sections.
  • Ability to utilize coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • A strong analytical aptitude to interpret intricate medical documentation accurately.
  • A detail-oriented approach to ensure precision and accuracy in all coding assignments.
  • Exceptional communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities to meet coding deadlines.
