3D Modeling: Create 3D models of characters, props, environments, and objects using Autodesk Maya. Ensure the models are accurate and meet project requirements.
Texturing: Apply textures and materials to 3D models to add realistic details and surface properties. Utilize software like Substance Painter, Photoshop, or similar tools to achieve desired visual effects.
Lighting and Rendering: Set up virtual lighting environments and render scenes using rendering software such as Arnold, V-Ray, or Redshift. Optimize render settings to achieve the best possible output within project constraints.
Animation : Animate 3D characters, objects, and cameras to bring life and movement to scenes. Create realistic animations that suit the project's artistic direction.
Rigging: Create rigging systems for characters and objects to enable animation. Ensure rigs are user-friendly for animators and meet the project's animation requirements
Compositing: Integrate 3D elements seamlessly with live-action footage or other visual elements using compositing software like Nuke or Adobe Aftereffect.
Problem-solving: Troubleshoot technical and artistic issues that arise during production and propose creative solutions to overcome challenges.
Environment Design and Creation: Design and create 3D environments, landscapes, and settings using the Unreal Engine and associated tools. This includes constructing terrains, placing assets, and establishing the overall ambiance and atmosphere of the virtual world.
Unreal Blueprints : intermediate knowledge with unreal engine's blueprint editor and basics of C++ Programming
Level Design: Collaborate with level designers and gameplay programmers to implement gameplay mechanics and objectives within the environments. Ensure the environment layout supports the intended player experience and aligns with the overall game design.
Asset Integration: Import and integrate 3D models, textures, animations, and other assets into the Unreal Engine. Optimize assets for performance without compromising visual quality.
Lighting and Post-Processing: Set up dynamic and static lighting, as well as post-processing effects, to achieve realistic and visually compelling scenes. Utilize the engine's lighting features to create mood and enhance immersion.
Materials and Textures: Create and apply materials and textures to various objects and surfaces within the environment. Ensure a high level of detail and realism in the texturing process.
Optimization: Optimize the environment assets and level design for performance, including frame rate, load times, and memory usage. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to maintain smooth gameplay.
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, such as animators, concept artists, and directors, to understand project requirements and deliver work that aligns with the overall vision.
Time Management: Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in 3D modeling, animation, and rendering to enhance skills and improve work processes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Computer animation, fine arts, graphic design, related field. • Proficient in CGI software (Photoshop, 3ds Max, Maya)
• A creative storyteller with presentation abilities
• Comfortable working with deadlines and budget restrictions
• Ability to work independently or with a team to develop animations and solve problems.
