Job Title: Senior Data Architect / Practice Lead – Data Analytics Location: Bengaluru, India Experience Required: 15–20 years Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Data Architect / Practice Lead – Data Analytics to lead our data architecture and analytics practice. This role will focus on designing scalable cloud data solutions, driving data strategy, and establishing best practices in data analytics across the organization. You will serve as a technology leader, mentor, and strategic advisor in advancing enterprise data capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Architectural Responsibilities: Architect and Design Data Solutions: Build scalable, secure, high-performance data architectures leveraging Azure or AWS cloud platforms. ETL and Data Warehousing: Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines and data warehouse architectures for analytics and reporting. Cloud Data Platforms: Implement and manage platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks for enterprise data management. Data Governance & Compliance: Enforce data quality, security, and compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2 and similar standards. Data Modeling: Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business intelligence needs. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize ETL workflows , storage , and query performance . Automation & Best Practices: Lead CI/CD implementation for data pipelines, data lineage tracking, and metadata management. Practice Lead Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy: Define and lead the Data Analytics practice strategy , aligning with business goals and emerging industry trends. Capability Building: Build and mentor a high-performing data engineering and analytics team ; foster continuous learning and innovation. Solutioning & Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to design data and analytics solutions for new and existing clients; support RFPs, proposals, and POCs . Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and clients to communicate data strategies, roadmaps, and outcomes. Analytics Enablement: Drive self-service analytics adoption , BI reporting frameworks , and advanced analytics solutions using modern tools and technologies. Technology Evangelism: Stay current with AI/ML, data science, and analytics innovations ; recommend and pilot newtools and methods for competitive advantage. Practice Operations: Define KPIs, delivery methodologies, reusable assets, and governance frameworks for scalable practice operations. Required Qualifications: 15+ years of overall experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics leadership roles. At least 5 years of experience in data architecture and 3+ years leading data/analytics teams or practice . Proven expertise in ETL tools like Informatica, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, dbt . Deep experience with Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks or equivalent cloud data platforms. Hands-on experience in Azure (ADF, Synapse, ADLS, Purview) or AWS (Glue, Redshift, S3, Lake Formation) environments. Strong skills in SQL, Python, or Scala for data transformation and analytics enablement. Experience in defining and leading data governance , metadata management , and data quality frameworks . Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience. Exposure to Big Data frameworks ( Apache Spark, Hadoop ) is a plus. Prior involvement in pre-sales, solutioning, or consulting roles is desirable. Preferred Attributes: Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proven track record in establishing or scaling data analytics practices. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical leadership.
