The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing and managing relationships with vendors who supply our snacks and savories. This role involves coordinating with vendors, negotiating contracts, ensuring product quality, and managing logistics to maintain a seamless supply chain.Key Responsibilities:Vendor Sourcing and Management:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reputable vendors from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure consistent supply and quality.
Conduct visits and audits of vendor facilities to ensure compliance with company standards.Negotiation and Contract Management:
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors to secure the best deals.
Ensure all contracts are up-to-date and manage renewals as necessary.Inventory and Logistics Coordination:
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement to prevent stockouts.
Work closely with the admin to manage the timely delivery of products from vendors to our distribution center.Quality Assurance:
Ensure all procured products meet our quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with the Production team to address any quality issues with vendors.Market Analysis and Cost Management:
Analyze market trends and vendor pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Implement cost reduction strategies while maintaining product quality.Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, vendor performance, and inventory levels.
Prepare regular reports on procurement status, costs, and vendor performance.Compliance:
Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant food safety regulations and company policies.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in procurement.Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of regional snack and savory products from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh is highly desirable.
- Fluency in regional languages is a plus.
