Key ResponsibilitiesIT Strategy Development EAs develop longterm IT strategies that align with the overall goals of the organization This involves analyzing current IT infrastructure and crafting a roadmap for technological advancement1 Business IT Alignment They ensure that IT projects and systems effectively support business objectives acting as a bridge between business and IT2 Architecture Design and Development EAs create comprehensive architectural designs that span all levels of the IT infrastructure including data management application services and security protocols3 Technology Evaluation and Selection They identify and evaluate new technologies that can improve existing systems or provide new opportunities for the organization4 Governance and Compliance Establishing governance frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations is a critical part of the role5 Stakeholder Collaboration EAs work closely with stakeholders including executives and project managers to gather requirements and ensure alignment on various projects.Required SkillsAnalytical Skills Ability to analyze complex systems and processes to identify improvementsStrategic Thinking Developing and implementing long term IT strategies requires a forward-thinking mindsetProject Management Strong project management skills to oversee multiple IT projects simultaneouslyCommunication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholdersProblem Solving Skills Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT related issues swiftly and effectivelyQualificationsEducation Most enterprise architects have at least a bachelors degree in fields such as information technology computer science or software engineering Some employers may prefer candidates with a masters degreeExperience Typically a minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in IT is required often in roles such as software engineer or network security specialistSkillsMandatory Skills : Architecture Governance, Business Process Design, Mapping, Capability Models, EA Frameworks, Reference Architecture, Research, Papers, Enterprise Roadmap / Strategy, Transformation
