We are seeking a highly talented PHP Consultant to maintain/enhance high-quality software that is scalable
and futureproof and to support designing and developing new IT solutions as we continue the development of
existing solutions. This entails engaging in solution architecture discussions, doing DevOps work as well as
building, testing, and deploying the software.
At DSV Solutions, we partner with our customers to design and deliver logistics solutions that enable efficient
operations and increase cost efficiency for hundreds of logistics facilities across the world.
This development position will be responsible for maintaining/enhancing solutions supporting business needs.
The qualified professional will have experience with the full software development life cycle and hands-on
development using PHP.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Understand customer requirements and business objectives of the assigned project
• Performs code development, product design, and programming activities requiring business,
functional, and systems research and analysis.
• Designs, implements, and/or maintains product modules or sub-systems
• Leverages existing code or utilities and seeks opportunities for reuse
• Demonstrates problem-solving relating to code, documentation, and recurring problems
• Executes test procedures according to test plan and identifies problems; performs unit and integration
testing for functionality and limits; performs bug verification, release testing, and support for assigned
products
• Writes module-level implementation and test specifications; tracks key activities
• Participates in product deploys
• Fulfils assigned commitment relating to assigned projects and project management
• Generates accurate code for new or existing models/routines or complex redesigns
• Collaborate with the technical in-house team to ensure familiarity with technology
• Support new technology implementation based on Service requests
• Provide support with technical issues, revise existing systems, and suggest improvements
• Analyse and determine security threats, monitoring the success of IT solutions
• Produce detailed reports on the efficacy of the technology on timely basis
As a person, you are outgoing, enabling you to identify and work with multiple stakeholders. Of course, it is also
important to be able to think innovatively and encourage new ways of working.
Skills And Qualifications:
• An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Information
Technology/Computer Science or related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in MySQL, PHP 7 & PHP 8 proficiency
• Strong knowledge of PHP and web frameworks with expertise in Object Oriented PHP
• Experience with PHP Unit and/or other modern unit testing frameworks
• Understanding of design patterns & design principles for a scalable application
• Front End JavaScript - Modern JavaScript fundamentals with familiarity with a modern JS Frameworks
• HTML - Understanding of web markup and modern web layout, Experience in Bootstrap is a plus
• Linux system administration - Basic fundamentals of working in a Linux environment. This would be
familiarity with core unix commands and tools such as ssh.
• Good Experience with Linux Crone Jobs management & Apache/Tomcat application hosting
• Experience with user authentication and authorization for systems, servers, and environment
• Creating/maintaining database schemas that represent and support business processes
• MySQL - Strong fundamentals for querying relational data and basic database design. Optimization
capabilities are a plus.
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance based on company standard protocols
• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git & Bitbucket
• Experience with containerized, blue/green deploys a plus
• Excellent & timely debugging skills experience for enterprise apps

• Great interpersonal skills, with good command over spoken and written English
• Self-motivated, organized
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment to meet strict deadlines and compliance criteria defined by
different teams
• Ability to work under pressure and multitasking
