Wheebox is 100% subsidiary of Educational Testing Service (ETS), a globally recognized nonprofit assessment and research organization headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey, United States.

ETS has a significant international presence, conducting assessments and research in over 180 countries, it is renowned for creating a wide range of assessments, including the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC), Praxis Series for teacher certification.

Role Overview :


- An Application Architect is responsible for designing the structure and framework of software applications to ensure they meet business goals and technical requirements.

- They collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand needs, choose appropriate technologies, and create high-level design plans.

- Throughout the development lifecycle, they provide technical guidance to ensure quality, performance, and scalability of applications.

- Application Architects also oversee integration, deployment processes, and risk management, aiming to deliver robust, efficient, and maintainable software solutions.

- They continuously evaluate industry trends to propose enhancements and optimizations, making them pivotal in translating business needs into effective technical solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Should provide expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business.

- Determine specifications, then plans, designs the most complex and business-critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes either individually or in concert with the sales / Ops / product team.

- Should have exposure of creating service-based(API) and micro service-based application architecture.

- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure highest quality product platform.

- Must be able to re-use existing technical architecture and re-architect the application to meet future technological needs of the organization.

- Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible applications to the business.

- Viewed both internally and externally as a technical expert and critical technical resource across multiple disciplines.

Technical Skills :


- Primary tech stacks required Java, Angular, Python, WebRTC, MySQL any NoSQL.

- Possess Knowledge in Angular, Java, SQL Databases, and API development.

- Possess Knowledge in Mobile Development & Architecture for Android and iOS.

- Possess Knowledge in DEVOPS environments and deployments.

- Must have created modern day application architecture for B2B or B2C applications.

Experience needed : 12 years.
