Job Title : BSP Engineer Location : Bangalore, India Experience : 4–10 Years Domain : Avionics Interview Date - F2F interview will be held on Saturday 25th Oct at Bangalore Location Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Board Support Package (BSP) Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, safety-critical software development or testing, and hands-on experience with BSP development. Experience in domains like automotive or avionics is essential. Key Responsibilities : Design, develop, and maintain Board Support Packages (BSP) for embedded platforms. Work on low-level software components such as device drivers (DD) , runtime environments (RTR) , bootloaders, and hardware abstraction layers. Collaborate with hardware teams to enable and validate hardware functionality. Participate in the development and/or testing of safety-critical systems adhering to DO-178B/C or ISO 26262 standards. Design and execute test cases , ensuring comprehensive coverage and compliance with development procedures. Debug and resolve hardware/software integration issues efficiently. Generate test reports and documentation aligned with safety and quality standards. Contribute to safety lifecycle activities , including requirements traceability, verification, and validation. Required Skills & Qualifications : 4 to 10 years of hands-on experience in BSP development or testing. Strong expertise in Embedded C programming and debugging embedded systems. Solid understanding of DO-178B/C (avionics) or ISO 26262 (automotive) safety standards. Experience with device drivers , bootloaders, memory management, and hardware bring-up. Skilled in test case design , development procedures , and test execution . Experience in tools and techniques for debugging embedded targets (e.G., JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams. Preferred Qualifications : Prior experience in both development and testing roles. Exposure to tools like VectorCAST , LDRA , DOORS , or similar for verification and traceability. Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontroller architectures (ARM, PowerPC, etc.). Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation is a plus.
