Global Public Cloud Engineering – AWS Solution Architect

Job Location: India (HYD)

Qualification: BE/ B.Tech (Computer science or IT preferred)

Experience: 10 - 13 years

ADP is seeking an AWS Solution Architect - Engineer for Public Cloud Engineering team. This individual will play a critical, internal-client-facing role that interprets and translates client requirements into viable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Participate and drive scoping and technical requirements gathering sessions for customer’s cloud program- Provide expert advice on cloud native and micro-services based application solutions design, development, and resolution of technical issues using containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, AWS EKS, AWS ECS, etc.- Provide AWS architectural vision & implementation expertise throughout the assessment, proposal, design, implementation and operational phases of a customer engagement.- Assist application development teams with cloud environment sizing, design of disaster recovery capabilities to meet the application needs.- Assist application development teams and client executives with management and governance of cloud capability usage and support optimizing the consumption.- Support development and implementation of cloud management dashboards to enable monitoring and governance of cloud platforms.- Role requires significant knowledge and experience across many facets of cloud technology including Cloud Infrastructure, Application Modernization & Development, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Containers and Modern Data Services – all while understanding the Governance, Security, Monitoring and Cost Management aspects of the AWS ecosystem. Support proposal development and other pursuit activities- Provide proof of concepts, analysis of alternatives, and brief their results to client stakeholders.- Responsible for cloud native architecture design, implementation of distributed, fault-tolerant enterprise applications for cloud- Build meaningful relationship with clients.- Publish whitepapers / point of views and act as an evangelist to the Deloitte brand.- Work both independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment based on the project requirements- Possess experience in production support and scalable Architecture implementations.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

- BS/MS degree in Computer Science. Relevant certifications- additional advantage.- 10+ years’ experience in Cloud and Data center migration project as solution architect- In-depth understanding of compute, storage, network components including backup, monitoring and DR environment requirements- Experience and understanding of large-scale applications portfolio in enterprise-wide environment (including migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud) required.- Deep domain expertise of cloud application development solutions (e.g. IaaS, Serverless, APIManagement, iPAAS), container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry), continuous integration technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Spinnaker, AWS for DevOps, Chef, Puppet), web application server technologies, cloud application design, software architecture and practices(design/development/deployment, Agile, SCRUM, ALM), breadth of technical experience, and technical aptitude to learn and adjust to new technologies and cloud trends required.- First point of escalation for customer, SPOC for all Rackspace resources assigned to this project- Experience in programming languages (Java/Python/NodeJS/Angular/React)- Good knowledge of Database (SQL/No SQL – Oracle, Mongo,postgres etc)- Experience with CICD for deployments- Good to have knowledge with Monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk etc)- Experience working with API (Rest based, Lambda deployments in AWS)
