About the CompanyWe are looking for a highly experienced Sr. Linux Engineer to join our Managed Services team at SHI | LOCUZ. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Linux systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian), with strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for building and maintaining highly available and secure enterprise infrastructure environments.About the RoleWe are looking for a highly experienced Sr. Linux Engineer to join our Managed Services team at SHI | LOCUZ. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Linux systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian), with strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for building and maintaining highly available and secure enterprise infrastructure environments.ResponsibilitiesHandle L3 escalations and client-facing incidentsDesign, manage, and support Linux-based infrastructure environmentsProvide consultative and technical leadership in managing complex IT issuesAutomate operational tasks using scripting (Shell, Python, etc.)Implement system security, compliance, and governance best practicesMonitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and ensure 24x7 availabilityTriage technical issues and recommend effective solutionsEnsure change management processes are followed with minimal disruptionRepresent the team in major incident reviews and vendor escalationsProvide mentorship to junior engineers and foster team developmentWork closely with application vendors and cross-functional IT teamsEvaluate and onboard new technologies and tools for automation and efficiencyInterface with ITSM platforms (e.g., Service Now, Autotask) for issue tracking Qualifications8+ years of experience in Linux system engineering (Red Hat/Ubuntu/Debian)Hands-on experience in Managed Services environments (L3 support level)Strong exposure to cloud platforms like AWS and/or AzureExperience in automation and scripting (Shell, Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.)Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skillsFamiliarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systemsStrong understanding of system security and compliance frameworks Preferred SkillsRHCE / RHCSAAWS Sys Ops Administrator / Azure AdministratorITIL Foundation
