Job Title : OCI Network Admin Exp : 8 to 15years Job Location: Remote Timing: 6 PM To 2 AM IST Job Title OCI Network Administrator (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) Also referred as: OCI Network Engineer / OCI Cloud Network Specialist The OCI Network Administrator is responsible for designing, configuring, securing, and optimizing network services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The role focuses on virtual cloud networks (VCNs), routing, connectivity, firewalls, load balancing, hybrid/on-prem integrations, and ensuring high availability, performance, and security of cloud network environments. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy and administer OCI network architectures , including: VCNs, Subnets (Public/Private) Route Tables, Security Lists / Network Security Groups (NSGs) Dynamic Routing Gateways (DRG) / Internet Gateways / NAT Gateways / Service Gateways Configure hybrid network connectivity using Fast Connect, IPSec VPN, and BGP routing. Manage load balancing solutions: OCI Load Balancer (LBR) — public/private, WAF, SSL termination. Implement and maintain DNS services (OCI DNS / Private DNS zones). Monitor and optimize network performance, latency, throughput, bandwidth utilization . Administer and troubleshoot firewall/security controls — OCI Firewalls, NSG rules, Access Control Lists. Configure OCI Traffic Management, Global Routing, and Multi-region Network Design. Support OCI Service Mesh and API Gateway integrations where applicable. Manage and troubleshoot network connectivity for OKE (Kubernetes), Compute, Autonomous DB, Exadata Cloud , and other OCI services. Implement network logging, flow logs, monitoring, alerting and auditing . Perform incident response and root-cause analysis (RCA) for network-related issues. Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, runbooks and SOPs . Ensure security compliance aligned with cloud/network best practices and organizational standards. Required Skills & Experience Solid experience (typically 4–10+ years depending on organization) in cloud and enterprise networking . Strong hands-on experience with: VCN/Subnet architecture & segmentation Routing, NAT, VPN, Firewalling Hybrid connectivity and multi-region network design Load balancers and WAF Deep understanding of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, HTTP/HTTPS Network security concepts — identity, segmentation, zero-trust, encryption Experience with at least one scripting language (Python / Shell / Power Shell) for automation. Familiarity with Terraform / Ansible / OCI Resource Manager for network Infrastructure-as-Code. Proficiency in OCI Console, OCI CLI, Logging & Monitoring , and troubleshooting tools. Preferred / Good to Have Experience in multi-cloud / hybrid cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google). OCI certifications (e.g., OCI Network Professional / OCI Architect ). Experience with: Exadata Cloud / Autonomous DB networking OKE networking (VNICs, CNI plugins, ingress/egress policies) Cloud security tools — Prisma, Tenable, Qualys, Guard Duty, etc. Exposure to SASE, SD-WAN, Zero-Trust and Micro-Segmentation models. Network automation experience — Python + APIs / Terraform modules .
